  Prayer Topics

 ***
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,  if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. (2Chronicles 7:13-15)

Our God allowed the current COVID-19 pandemic and our understanding of his purpose is limited.  However, if we God’s people humble ourselves and pray and seek him and repent of our sins sincerely, then he will hear us and forgive our sins and heal our land. God’s eyes will be open and his ears attentive to our prayers. So, come, let us pray in sincere repentance and seek his face!  Let us also intercede for our community and our land faithfully as God’s chosen people.

Pray for those who are sick. Pray for those who have lost their loved ones. Pray for those who lost hope. Pray for them to come to Jesus in whom is life.  May the light of life in Jesus shine on those in darkness and save them!

We pray that the current pandemic crisis may turn to an opportunity:
  • To have a deeper and personal relationship with our Lord Jesus and grow as independent servants of God.
  • To have an intimate fellowship with our family and worship God together.
  • To actively connect to friends and coworkers online and offline while keeping social distancing (One beautiful thing God is doing among us nowadays is that He is uniting us as a loving, caring and prayerful community through the current crisis. Praise God!).
  • To help the needy and lead the lost souls to come to God (Many are using social media to reach out people in the current crisis).
Pray for medical workers (especially those in UBF) who are fighting with coronavirus in the frontline. May God be their ultimate PPE (personal protective equipment)!

Pray for missionaries and shepherds in urgent financial needs.  Many coworkers lost their jobs or closed their businesses due to the current pandemic. The HQ has sent out financial supports to them with the donations and relief offerings collected from our community.  Please pray that we may continue to have enough funding to support the coworkers in urgent needs.  If you want to donate for them, click here:  donate.ubf.org.

Pray for our Prayer Relay project. God is blessing this prayer movement and is uniting us to be a loving and praying community worldwide that prays for one another. He is also answering our intercessory prayers and working mightily in our community.  We pray for more participants in our prayer relay to accomplish 24 hour prayer. May God encourage more people to participate in this movement and pray for our community!

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. (James 5:15-18)

M. P*aulineLipsey (Washington UBF): She went to be with our Lord Jesus, ending her long battle with cancer. She is now in a place where there is no pain and tears. Please pray for the remaining family (her husband, S. D*onLipsey and her son, Isaac) to be strong in their faith. May God’s comfort be with them!

M. A*naHeo (Paraguay): Her pancreatitis became worse so she went to Korea with M. A*ndrewHeo. They got Korean health insurance and had a health check-up. Please pray that she may receive accurate diagnosis and proper treatments so that she may be healed completely in Korea by God’s grace. Pray for their children as well.

Pray for M. A*nnaYang (Chicago): By God’s grace and the sacrificial love and serving from the Seo family (Msn. J*ohn and A*na Seo including their daughter who helped the antibiotic injection for six weeks) in Chicago, she was able to finish six weeks’ antibiotic treatment successfully without side-effects or complications or further infection. According to doctors, there is no need for further surgery. Now there is no problem in terms of eating and sleeping except a little discomfort in her tongue. However, she is vulnerable to the virus attack because her immune system became weak due to the strong antibiotic injection for six weeks. Please continue to pray for her full recovery and protection from the virus. Also, we ask your prayer support for her official retirement from a personal assistant position for Mother Barry whom she had served for the last 13 years on 2/1. Thank you so much for all your prayers and love. (Sarah T. We pray cancer may not spread again to another part of his body. Please continue to pray for his complete recovery.

E*stherYoo (11 years old, M. D*avidYoo’s daughter) (Koln, Germany) fell from the horse in March. She got injured and her elbow was not straightened. She had a third surgery on 12/16. Pray that her nerve may be restored well.

Isaac’s Korean language school has been so successful for the past 10 years that they received the best institute award among 200 SejongHakdangs abroad. Their reputation spread that 600 students from the neighboring countries registered the program last year. Please pray for their safe return (if possible after vaccination). May God continue to bless their life in Osh as silver missionaries.

M. A*ndrewKim (Ethiopia, Africa) returned to Korea: M. Andrew came to Africa in 1990 to Sudan first and served the Lord and his flock in Africa (Sudan, Ethiopia) for nearly 30 years. God had blessed Africa to raise many native leaders through our sacrificial missionaries like M. Andrew.   Support Our Missionaries

Many coworkers lost their jobs or closed their businesses due to the current pandemic.  The HQ has sent out financial supports to them with the donations and relief offerings collected from our community.  Those who have received our support are very grateful to your prayers and support. Please pray that we may continue to have enough funding to support the coworkers in urgent needs.

If you want to donate for these missionaries and shepherds, click here:  donate.ubf.org
